An Atlanta teacher is being shamed and praised on the internet for how she dresses at work.

Patrice Brown works at an elementary school and is currently being called out on her attire, which does meet dress code standards. She has been called #TeacherBae on social media after pictures of her work outfits started going viral.

Brown posted a video yesterday, saying it would be a great day, but most of the comments focused on her form-fitting outfits. One tweet said the woman looked good, but added, “Little boys are pervs by like 2nd grade.” Another said, “DEFINITELY inappropriate if you’re a teacher!!”

Many people are coming to her defense and calling out her critics for being too focused on her clothes instead of the fact that she’s a teacher. One tweet read, “This black woman seems so happy & proud of teaching youth but y’all just had to sexualize the situation.

Local Atlanta news outlets contacted the woman, and she told them that the entire situation is “overwhelming.”

The Atlanta Public Schools says its employee dress code lists examples of appropriate and inappropriate clothing, but leaves violations up to the discretion of each school.
