The city of South Haven has announced it’s closing city hall due to coronavirus. The city issued the following statement:
In our ongoing effort to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak and to keep our staff safe, we are implementing a plan to reduce face-to-face interactions with the public in our City buildings. As of Monday, March 16th, the Department of Public Works (DPW) and City Hall will both be closed to the public. All customer service for City Hall and the DPW will be handled via telephone or email. Should you need to contact the Police Department for a non-emergency, call 637-5151. In the case of an emergency, call 911.
Additionally, all City of South Haven visits are now by appointment only. Appointments should be made far in advance by calling or emailing the department. Many transactions can be completed by going online.
