President Joe Biden has dropped out of the race for the White House due to pressure from Democrats who don’t believe he could win after a disastrous debate performance against Donald Trump.
Biden has endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris to be the Democratic nominee, but Republican Congressman Tim Walberg doesn’t think it will matter.
“First of all, no, I don’t think it’ll help them win. Policy is still the key and the record is still the Democrat record and it’s a Harris’s record as well as Biden’s. She was there agreeing with him for these past three and a half years and saying that he was doing a great job, well-prepared and very successful. In fact, the American people will disagree with that.”
Walberg says he thinks Governor Gretchen Whitmer will be a strong supporter of the Democratic ticket. He says Trump would not be opposed to running against Whitmer, based on her record and her ability to tell everyone else how to live during COVID.
