The Corewell Health Foundation has announced three grants to organizations that encourage healthy living in Southwest Michigan.

Corewell says the awards totaling $93,700 from its Community Wellness Endowment have gone to the Buchanan Area Senior Center, Community Healing Centers in St. Joseph, and Cycle-Re-Cycle in Benton Harbor.

The Buchanan Senior Center will use its $5,000 donation to purchase a new body composition analyzer and blood pressure monitor for its fitness room.

Community Healing Centers is receiving $86,000 to support Carol’s Hope, which offers substance abuse counseling, support, and treatment.

Cycle-Re-Cycle will use its $2,500 donation to distribute bicycle helmets to youth in northern Berrien County.

The Corewell Health Foundation says the three organizations are committed to improving health, instilling humanity, and inspiring hope. They received their awards last month, just in time for the holidays.
