
The Berrien County Prosecutor’s Office has announced the sentencing of two men in relation to the shooting of a 21-year-old Benton Harbor resident at the Briarwood Apartment Complex last June. Kevonte Morrow, 26, was sentenced to a minimum of 10 years, while Eric Jones, 32, was sentenced to at least 20 years.
On June 29, 2024, officers from the Benton Township Police responded to reports of a shooting at 1969 Union. Upon arrival, they found the victim with two gunshot wounds—one in the leg and another in the torso. The suspects were promptly identified and arrested, now facing significant prison time.
