A new analysis of coronavirus cases by Anderson Economic Group suggests the state hit its peak last week. Patrick Anderson says their conclusion comes after crunching the numbers being released by Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.

“The epidemic, which is bad, is now no longer growing and the number of cases each day is actually falling,” Anderson says. “The standard epidemiological model shows that we should expect continued decline.”

Michigan had 1,366 new cases yesterday, the highest single-day increase in nearly a week and now has 27,001 cases with 1,768 deaths. AEG’s report “strongly suggests” social distancing and other efforts have worked and the epidemic is slowing.
